Darksiders ist ein Action-Adventure, das Sie mitten in die Apokalypse versetzt. Sie übernehmen im Spiel die Rolle eines Reiters der Apokalypse! Ursprünglich sollten die Reiter den Untergang der Welt überwachen. Doch der Verrat ihres Meisters bringt sie dazu, dass sie ihre Phantomrösser gegen die Truppen ins Feld führen, die hinter der Verschwörung stecken! Darksiders basiert auf einer Geschichte, die von Comic-Buch-Künstler Joe Madureira (u.a. X-Men, Battle Chasers, und The Ultimates) verfasst wurde.
