Die Decepticons sinnen nach ihrer beschämenden Niederlage auf Rache. Die Gelegenheit zur Vergeltung ergibt sich, als Shockwave, einer ihrer mächtigsten Kämpfer im legendären Krieg auf dem Heimatplaneten der Roboter, Cybertron, zu neuem Leben erwacht und auf der Erde in die entscheidende Schlacht zieht.
