| | Never again - not gonna buy ATT or use their service ever again. 1 out of 2-3 calls are dropped, service sucks when the call goes through, and cancelling was a nightmare.
avoid them at all costs.
| | AT&T service plan with rollover minutes | |
| | I have been with AT&T for years now and I have always been extremely satisfied with their service, plus they're the only Service Company that has carryover minutes. During the times when I don't use my phone as often I know that they'll be carried over and I don't lose them, which is an important factor to me.
| | Great service in Chicagoland....(for me) | |
| | I've had Cingular/Att wireless for 2yrs and the service has been great in the Chicago area (da city and 'burbs). Almost never drop a call...unlike sprint...that was horrible (still have sprint for work...uggghh). I carry both phones with me and have to use my personal (Att phone) because i have no signal w/ the sprint. Rollover is great...i never have to worry about when i talk now because i have so many minutes saved up. I had to write this after seeing all the reviews saying it sucks in chicago...it has been the best service and phone i've had (original razr).

| | Terrible Cingular Service in Chicago | |
| | I have been with Cingular, now AT&T, since 1989 - when it was known as Cellular One I believe. I have been a very happy and loyal customer, until the last few months. I live in Chicago and travel between in and around the city, including the north, south and west suburbs, often and I would say 95% of my calls are dropped. I do not get reception on any of Chicago's major highways. When I do get reception, calls last maybe 5 minutes before being dropped. And lately, I haven't even been able to connect to a call, with calls not even being able to connect.
I have tried to be patient and loyal - I've been talking to Cingular/AT&T the last two months trying to resolve the issue and they keep giving me the run around. The first few times they sent me updates, then I got a new phone through my warranty, then I got more updates to my new phone, then I got a new sim card, now they say I should use my warranty again to get another new phone because the phone I received must be bad. They will not let me out of my early contract cancellation fee and say that I need to try out 3 or 4 phones through the warranty exchange. If after 3 or 4 phones I still have issues with my service, they will send me a new phone free of charge. They seem to think I have the time, and not much consistent need for a cell phone to go through all this.
After 18 years with the company, through many frustrating moments, I have reached my limit and am canceling my contract with them.
