Editorial Reviews:

Designed for drilling, sanding, shaping, detailing and other light-duty jobs, this compact, go-anywhere, use-anytime tool comes in extremely handy in and around the house. It features two speeds and can be used with any Dremel accessory bit with up to a 1/8" shank.

We started counting all the uses for this little dynamo, but we stopped at 967. We like it for delicate tasks and finer work because it isn?t as powerful as its big brothers, so it?s easier to control. It?s light, extremely maneuverable, the switch is exactly where you want it and heck, it?s just plain fun to use. It?s perfect for jewelry, electronics, tiny woodworking crafts like dollhouse furniture and other intricate hobbies. It uses Dremel?s wide array of bits, so there?s virtually no limit to what you can do with this. Sure, there are store brands on the market for less, but Dremel is king when it comes to rotary tools, and we think they outdid themselves with this one.--Kris Jensen-Van Heste

Great tool for nail grinding
5 out of 5 stars.
We use these in our grooming salon and they are really great.
They are light weight so don't kill your hands, but powerful enough to get the job done.

I will say, their battery life is a *little* on the weak side, but not bad enough for me to buy a different model for my own home use. You can do several small dogs with one charge, but if you're having to remove a fair amount of length from the toenails of a normal sized dog it does drain kind of quickly. In these cases, it's better to trim some of the excess nail off before grinding. If you are planning on multiple large dogs, or a bigger project, I would recommend picking up a spare battery.

Despite popular belief, it IS possible to quick a dog with these (and any other tool that shortens the nails, including pedipaws...), and the heat does NOT cauterize it, so if you aren't good with figuring out where the quick ends, be sure to keep some quik stop handy.

Pretty good

I like this tool much better than the tradition nail clippers for my dogs. There are certain annoyances including nail dust flying everywhere, the smell of nail dust, overheating, and lack of battery power overtime. Otherwise, very easy to use.

Dremel 750-02 Minimite 13,000 RPM 2 Speed 4.8-Volt Cordless Rotary Tool
3 out of 5 stars.
Purchased primarily to file dog's claws e.g. to shorten them so they don't become too long. Dog is long-haired and despite my efforts to trim hair in the vicinity of his paws, it seems as if I'd have to trim his legs an inch or more to avoid the hair becoming entangled in the rotating device. Neither he nor I enjoy that! Am hesitant about continuing to use it. About ready to revert back to the hand-operated claw trimer formerly used.

I Can Finally Trim My Dog Nails
4 out of 5 stars.
My 1 year old Cocker Spaniel hates to have his paws touched. It was impossible to cut his nails because you couldn't hold him still and his nails are dark so you can't see the quick. His first experience at a groomer was a bad one so I won't take him to anyone again. The vet barely touched his nails when I took him there. I heard of using this product and was afraid, but I tried it on myself first to see what he would be feeling and it was fine. Of course you still need to be careful not to trim too much and remain calm and sensitive to your dog, but it's not too powerful and works great.

Fine tool for the dog and ?
5 out of 5 stars.
I purchased this tool for the specific purpose of trimming my dog's nails. Well it works fine, I did his back feet one day and then the front feet the next day. He, my dog, seemed to not want any machine anywhere near him, but he got used to it quickly and seemed to calm down some then. He really doesn't like his front paws handled at all, but when I did them he was only moderately difficult. I believe after we have a couple more experiences with the tool, he will be pretty OK with it. He just has to become familiar with a new devise before he will be OK with it. He already seems to like getting an electric massage, so now it is simply a matter of him knowing that he is safe with this and he should be more accepting of it.
I will have other projects for the tool soon, but have only used it for the dogs nails so far. It is easy to use and has a nice charger unit. So, I recommend this tool as much as I can having only used it in a limited way. I know there are a number of other machines on the market for this purpose, but don't know anything about them, and liked this one.
