| Probably worth spending more | |
| | £45 is expensive for this item as it only worked properly for about 6 months. Similar problem to other reviewers. It doesn't pick up the signal anymore or is very temperamental at best.
| | | I'm absolutely delighted with this radio. It's easy to use, has really good sound and a two year guarantee. I couldn't beat the price on Amazon though of course I tried! It's a bit of an ugly duckling and the screen is small but I don't mind that. Buy one!
| | | I have owned many radios over my 43-year lifetime, and this is easily the worst. My POOR radio is going to the recycling bin - it has died after not even two years of poor quality service. The first thing that went was the DAB quality, then the digital radio stopped working, and now it won't even give me FM radio! In the end I had to reset it each time I switched it on! It's total rubbish. I was going to donate it to PURE so they can use it to learn how to make digital radios, but it's going to the great radio graveyard in the sky instead. I can't wait to see the back of it and buy a Dualit.
| | | This is a lovely wee radio. Lacks the sophistication of bigger more expensive models, but only real downside is it may not be loud enough in some situations - I need the volume up to half way sometimes in the kitchen, but for the price it's excellent and although mono it is stereo through headphones.
It looks and feels great and is fairly intuitive to use, although luddite septagenarian father-in-law has not really got to grips with the controls, computer savvy septagenarian father has no problems.
I bought the battery pack, which whilst fiddly to fit is worthwhile as it makes the radio far more portable.
| | | I got a pure DAB one for Christmas, it worked fine for a few months but then developed a falut where it would not switch on all of the time. After a few months it would now switch on at all. This is a poor quality radio and I would not recommend that you purchase one.
