Not good, there are way better n-gage games out there
2 out of 5 stars.
This is an okay game but it's clearly designed for the Game Boy Advance and a port rushed to the n-gage to coincide with its launch in 2003 without too much care or attention. It doesn't suit the N-gage's screen shape and the zoomed out view doesn't have much in the way of detail.

If you really want a good platform game on the N-gage, go for Rayman 3, it looks nice but more importantly it plays excellently.

Hmmmm...
2 out of 5 stars.
Sonic has always been popular since its debut in 1991. Everyone just loved the cute little spikey blue hedgehog. But this N-Gage port of Sonic Advance doesnt do the energetic lil critter any justice atall.
When you load up the game for the first time, you'll notice (if you played Sonic Advance on the GBA) that 2 game modes have gone. The Chao mode and the multiplayer mode. Chao mode is a little mini game that was a bit of fun. The multiplayer aspect being took out of the N-Gage version is a shock, as the main point of N-Gage games is to have powerful bluetooth multiplayer. Shame.
The main game takes you throguh 6 zones, each containing 2 levels and an end of zone boss. There are four characters to choose from (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy) and the characters really acts as the games 4 save files. The game is relativly easy itself, as I completed it in a few days. After completing it with one character, you could start again with a different character. Bbbbbbbooooooorrrrrriiiiiinnnnnnggggg.
Graphics. Now I know that Sonic would lose it's reputation if it turned 3D, but this game does not push the N-Gages grahical capibilities atall. Not good.
The sound is quite poor in quality but this is the only N-Gage game I have played so I can't compare it to others. The game has some kool tunes but the hissing sound in the background makes it less enjoyable.
Anyway, enough of the Cons, lets move onto pros. There are some clever ideas in Sonic N. Like booster pads, loops, no gravity etc., but thats all been seen before (Sonic Advance).

Overall a below average game, and there is absolutly no point in getting this game if you already own it on GBA. But for die-hard Sonic fans, it may just be worth the purchase.

Classic Sonic on a mobile phone
4 out of 5 stars.
The N-Gage conversion of Sonic Advance, it's the same minus the chao garden and the multiplayer feature which is what i was looking for most in this game... oh well.
The game is a breeze with three out of the four characters, Amy's frustrating inability to spin stops it being four. The game also keeps the (in my opinon) frustratingly hard special stages. If of course you overcome this and gather all seven emeralds and finish the game with all four characters you are treated with an extra zone, which kept me playing and gave the game longitivity.
My favourite feature of this game is time attack mode, but the only good level to play it on is the first, my record being 0:41:67. SonicTeam could've added a few specialist levels for this mode to make it better in my opinion.
If you love classic Sonic action then this is a game for you, if you have Sonic Advance don't bother buying this.

A bad port of an older game, Can't Nokia get better games
3 out of 5 stars.
OK, so i like Sonic games, well most Sega games, but this just isnt really as good as possible. This is exactly the same as Sonic Advance 1 for the GBA which i have and to tell the truth, there isnt much imporvement, in fact the game has been made worse. The addictive Chao raising garden has gone, which is to be expected, it would take up loads of memory, but multiplayer mode from Sonic Advance has been taken out, which is what N-Gage is supposed to be about, MULTIPLAYER. How can they leave it out, ok it wasn't quite as much fun as the real game but it isn't bad enough to take out completely. If they had left this in it would have a 4. If Sega had not been lazy and added more levels and characters and modes, it would have been a 5, but they failed. The graphics are the same as the GBA and dont push the 3D hardware of the N-gage, if Sega make another Sonic N, it should make use of this, a new 3D sonic would be nice, esspecially for a new console that need help to get anywhere near matchin the GBA.
